This is my blog, I ramble on about many things from frugal living, make do & mend, my dysfunctional in-laws, swinging (the cause of my divorce) & my assortment of mad lodgers. My life lurches from calm to chaotic depending mainly of the state of my finances & the in-laws state of mind. I hope you enjoy my blog, I'm always happy to answer questions on here or via email, harduphester@yahoo.com.

U F O's
I have too many UFO's, a part finished mobius scarf in red, grey & black for DD, I was looking for the rest of the black chunky yarn to finish the scarf, I found it but decided it was too dark to attempt knitting with black wool, I also found a random ball of something tweedy so I made 3 more soap sacks. I also have 4 balls of brightly coloured dish cloth cotton that were reduced to 50p & some hot pink chunky wool ready to knit a tea cosy. I need to get on with the tea cosy, it has cable, I've never tried cable, I best make a start on it before it's too late & I can't see to follow the pattern. I also need to make 2 granny square blankets for 2 more babies due in the next few months. All this knitting & crochet gives me a good excuse to sit on the sofa under a blanket, problem is, as soon as I get warm I fall asleep.

Ah bless you, you aren't going to totally loose your sight too soon are you?
I've been doing a lot of decluttering lately and found a half finished pair of socks that I started over 6 years ago.
Was really pleased as I was going to buy more sock wool as getting low on socks now.
Oh I sympathise with many UFO's my stash pile is getting bigger and bigger every time I look at it - I do hope that your eyes don't deteriorate
too quickly so we can see your finished designs, will be amazing for you to finish them

I have a can-can wool scarf to finish tonight as it needs to be posted tomorrow and the sodding thing seems to be multiplying as I look at it. Also my friend saw it and asked for one as her birthday present, so that's another one I need to tackle sooner rather than later as her birthday is tomorrow. I'm wondering why I took up knitting now.
