RTFM Part 2

I sold a pair of boots on Ebay, clearly stating that they were size 5, EE fitting, slouch style with extra wide calf.

The buyer wants to return them, she has very narrow feet & slim calves & the boots don't fit, they are too wide across the foot & too baggy in the calf.

Well they would be wouldn't they, that's why I put the information in the advert about them being wide fitting!

Tell her to go back to the listing and read the description thoroughly. All the information is there - it's her fault she didn't read it. Some buyers really annoy me. I think ebay has changed a lot since I first started doing it.

Oh dear. Such a pain. We've had similar things happen to us. Some people are either thick, or don't bother to read abut the item they are buying...or both?! Ebay has changed - I don't know how long it's been like it but now sellers can't leave negative feedback on a buyer. Buyers have the option of leaving either positive or negative feedback. Quite unfair I think!

You always get one, don't you! Tell her to resell them, some buyers think you're a bloomin shop!

The problem with ebay now, is that buyers have all the rights!!

You can't leave her bad feedback of any description, and they just go on and do the same to the next person..

If you want to keep your good feedback, you have to play to the buyers whim if you accept returns :o(
i.e. get her to pay to return them, and don't refund her p+p from when you sent 'em.
Then sell 'em on. Unfortunately Ebay have made it that way now...
The sods!

Have a good week lovely Hester. xx

Some people are just too stupid for words. Why bother putting a description on if they dont read it? I would be too embarrassed to return them if it had been me.

I sold my old Sky+ box on eBay. The listing said that as I had gone over to Freeview I was selling the Sky+ box, and that it would work with digital channels, but if the person wanted to have the Sky channels, they would need to contact Sky to take out a monthly subscription.
It was delivered and about a month later I got a message from the chap telling me he couldn't get the Sky channels to work.
I asked him if he had taken out a Sky subscription, and he said no, he was expecting me to have provided them (like, all 200-odd channels) within the one-off price (of about £30). We had a good chuckle about that one.

You CAN leave negative feedback for a seller, in RESPONSE to their feedback, but I never do - life is too short, and some people just aren't worth my air space!

LOL

I'm surprised she was able to work out how to buy them in the first place. I would tell her to read the advert again.

I was recently selling some craft stuff on behalf of my mother. The lady who bought a kit (of course, the most expensive thing I sold) informed me that it had not arrived. I asked her to check out the local sorting office to see if it was waiting, but a week later she was getting all stroppy about it (having done nothing at her end) and wanting me to either make the kit to materialise or give refund. Anyway, to cut a long story short, eventually she had to collect another parcel from her local sorting office, and surprise there was my package waiting for her - she had given me the wrong address and then said I had not put the correct address on the label!! Don't you just love some people??

Oh don't make me nervous, I've got six things on Ebay at the moment!

Wait 'til you get the people who say they haven't received their parcel when they obviously have. I sent out 3 parcels out just before christmas and they all arrived the next day. One person said their parcel hadn't arrived but when we told them that everyone elses had they didn't reply. Looking at their feedback it looks like they'd done it once or twice before. Look out for people who try this!
