Marmalade & Candles

Being of a very lazy nature, I decided to make some marmalade & some recycled candles on the same day, that way I only had to clean the kitchen once. The candles I made by using all the odds & ends of candles I had been saving & I coloured them by adding a chunk of broken wax crayon my DD gave me.
The marmalade is not labled as it is mainly for me, though I did make one jar of shredless for the DGK & called it Orange Jam, they don't like bitty jam

It all looks great.
Where do you get your wicks from.?
I started making candles but the wicks i have just seem to burn a channel down the middle of the candle with loads of waste.

Great candles. My DIL used to make candles and she would go to the local resteraunt and ask nicely for the odds and ends to recycle.

Marmalade looks lovely too, I wish we could get the Lemon Mamade here although not sure if they still make it.

They look really good, I trust that you will be selling them to make money for your ex and his wife?
Don't be selfish, they are poor (but well insulated it appears!!)

nice to see someone else makes candles using leftover wax like I do ! nice tip about 'begging' bits from the local restaurant, I'm definately going to give that a try !

I prefer marmalade without the bits in as well.
