Soap Sacks

Soap Sacks.
Small knitted sacks, each one contains a bar of soap. Washing with these has a gentle exfolliating effect on the skin.

I have one of those on a cord in the shower. Great for skin and easier to find when I haven't got my specs on

They look lovely - but do they go horrid and gungy once they've been used? :)

I've never heard of soap sacks before. Always learn something new. Great idea.

I had never heard of soap sacks either but it sounds good.

for those of you who can't knit (me) I guess making a bag out of material, like netting or linen would do the same thing.

These are a really good idea, I have sold 'bought in' ones on my stall for the last couple of years at Farmers Markets containing my handmade soaps (yes...the more mis-shaped ones usually).

They don't go gungy if you leave them hanging to dry in the shower or from the taps in the bath.

I really like yours Hester, they are a brilliant way to use up left over scraps of wool.

That is so clever! I love it. Do you sell them?

My mum used to make 'sacks' with plain netting fabric to put the old slithers of soap in, to use it up. I know that some people 'melt' the soap down and remould it, but this seems like a bit too much mess and fuss to me!!

Fantastic idea, although I can cross stitch until my heart is content, sewing is beyond me, so you should be very proud of yourself, Love G XX
