Reverse Vampire

Buggering bloody Network Rail, BT & bloody Windows!
I've just collected my PC from the menders, fortunately there was nothing seriously wrong with it. No virus, no hardware issues, just buggering bloody Windows which is not very stable at the best of times! Oh well, £24 later & it's all working for now.
Nothing is ever straight forward though is it, I've said before that I don't drive at night unless I know the route & it's well lit. Well today I set off to collect my computer, only to find that the road I wanted to drive along was closed so by the time I'd followed the diversion signs, got there, paid for the PC repair & discussed the work that had been done, it was getting dark on the way home, I felt like a reverse vampire trying to get home, or at least on to roads that I know well before it got too dark. I was just wondering whether to pull over & park up & phone me son & daughter to drive over to collect me & drive me, when I finally made it back onto the main road.

Gosh, what a drive! I can imagine you peering and hoping for the light to last long enough! Glad you made it.

I feel for you. I often drive 40 kms at one and two am picking up my son at the end of his shift. The worst part is going through our night club district. Young and often intoxicated people spill on to the streets.

Froogs, I think it says you don't suffer from night blindness, lol.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does that. I have my rat runs as I call them and with all the upheaval on the roads with the earthquakes I am often out of my comfort zone and anxious to get home before dark.

I hate driving at night, haven't done it in a couple of years and it always scares the heck out of me.
