Yesterday we had a window smashed during a fight, quite why this is dealt with by 2 admin staff is beyond me but, the deputy head on duty took ages to arrive as she wears stilettos & can't run anywhere, the behaviour team all have their lunch at the same time (who's bright idea was this?) & there was no-one else around.
Another child walked over to me just to tell me he had sweaty balls, this was way more information than I needed & I get annoyed by this, if I were to share with him information about the condition of my anatomy I would be sacked, still I'm sure his mother is proud of him. I get tired of being told we must not infringe their human rights, but they can be as obscene as they choose to us, I get told to fuck off most days & a couple of our little charmers have taken to announcing that they are going for a wank when they walk past & we have to put up & shut up. Hey ho, I must be getting old & crabby.
We now have our new team leader, Doris has already decided she doesn't like her, cue much wailing & gnashing of teeth, I think she'll be ok, I'm pretty autonomous in my department, I keep my head down, work hard & do what I'm asked. I'm using the new card system, I've had no training but didn't expect any, lol. I'm getting lots of complaints from the staff who don't like the system, but I just smile & shrug, it's making it a lot easier to work out who is abusing the system & it's made it a lot slower to get through my workload, that's progress for you.

I honestly don't know how you keep your mouth shut when some of these 'delightful children' tell you these things or swear at you....you're a better woman than me.
I'd last a day in your job, well maybe not even a full day!!

You are amazing to put up with that. I would want to throttle the lot after a bit. I am glad I deal with older kids though they have their moments.

I hear you, I work in admin in a very small school, at the moment we have a pupil who the whole school revolves around. He has to be restrained by 3 members of staff, he hits his teachers and tells them to f*** off. My little boy was caught up in the middle of one of this childs episodes yesterday , the boy was told to apologise to him, he kicked him instead - this child is 5!!!! but apparently absolutely fine to be in mainstream school - words fail me.

Wow, sorry you had such a long day...Kids can be pretty mean at times!
Yay for public service. I get sworn at week in week out, it has less and less effect on me as time goes on.
With kids like this, you've got to ask what the parents are like?
