Now that the Minder & I both have Kindles we have decided to get rid of all the books we have on the Kindles, we both had Amazon vouchers for birthday & Christmas & have stocked up on all the books that we know we will read repeatedly, for me that meant Terry Pratchett & for the Minder that meant all the Lee Childs. The local charity shop is in for a treat, lol.
I did look into selling some of them on Amazon, but even the hardbacks are only selling for 1p so it's not really worth the effort, especially since a lot of people complain when I send their books in reused jiffy bags.
We have decided to get rid of our unused bed in my sewing room, this will give me a lot more room up there to sew. We are also going to swap the bed round in our bedrooms so that we have a bed with a headboard.
Tomorrow I am collecting the Minder from work along with all the tools he has there, he finishes the following Friday & starts his new job on the following Monday.
I shall have a look for some new bedding whilst I'm in Basingstoke as most of ours is looking very old, stained & thin or bobbly.

have you seen the free books on Amazon for Kindles?
Oh yes, we have & have downloaded loads, I've signed up to Kogrid & get regular updates from them.
When you re-use jiffy bags (as we all do :o), either pop a printed sticker on it (too expensive for me though) or write on it (what we do) something like "this is a re-cycled jiffy bag, maybe you'd like to continue the cycle by re-cycling it yourself".
Just writing something simple like this saves the stress of 'em moaning ;o)
Just a thought Hester :o)
Pleased your back on line, you've been missed.
Happy New Year to you and yours, and I hope the Minders job goes well :o)
xx
If you have a Lidl near you, they have their sale on for fitted sheets. Starts next week, they are really good, £6 or £7 for a king size fitted sheet - micro fibre stuff. I got some to try them a couple of years ago and can recommend them.
I am the only one who is kindle less in the house. I love my books. I do not read a lot so is not a good economy for me. We have 1 main book case now so in order to fit in my new pressies some less loved ones will have to go...parting is such sweet sorrow.
I keep telling Miss 15 we shoudl start the new year with a clean out! She won't but I am.
One day I would love an ebook of some kind. I look forward to learning more about them.
that is one thing I really need to do is have a good clean out....first I need to put away the Christmas decorations!!!!

We're in the middle of clearing books out too. It's hard to part with them, but we just have too many.
