Sunday Lunch
We have a half shoulder of lamb for lunch today, an unexpected treat, a friend bought it & then realised she was going away & had no room in her freezer, I shall stick slivers of rosemary into it rub garlic paste on it, it will be cooked long & slow on a bed of last weeks leftover cabbage, some carrots & some stock. It will be served with, carrots, spring greens & roast pots. The leftovers will be mashed up with veg from underneath & used to make shepherds pie. It's a bit like the way they do it on Economy Gastronomy, but without the red wine!

Today I have slept
& slept & slept, exhausted after yesterday.
I worked from 7 til 6, then went to a Vie party, I didn't spend any money, but took my daughter with me, who spent £65!!! She loves Vie products & her last Vie hostess moved away. We got home at 10:30, ate a meal & chatted til 1 in the morning.
So today we got up at 7:30, made a cuppa, had a nap, went shopping, had a nap & I'm still aiming for an early night.
My shopping today came to £6.25, I bought spring greens, mushrooms, satsumas, eggs & potatoes.
Next weeks meal plan is:-
Smoked haddock with poached egg.
Sausage & mash.
Lamb casserole.
Pork chops & roasties.
Liver & bacon.
Spag bol.
HM Fish & Chips.
The freezer & cupboards are gradually emptying, I still have soup in the freezer & tomato soup in the cupboard, so that will do for lunches. I'm now having porridge for breakfast as I have no other cereal left. Hubby had cooked breakfast & the last burger for lunch today.
I will still have enough sausages left after this week for one more meal & 3 more breakfasts. I also still have chops, ribs, chicken breasts, mince, fish fingers in the freezer, I also have rice, pasta, tea, coffee, flour, pulses, tuna, baked beans, breadmix & sugar in the larder.
I cannot believe how much I'd stockpiled.

Ablution
1. The act of washing or cleansing; specifically, the washing of the body, or some part of it, as a religious rite.
2. The water used in cleansing. "Cast the ablutions in the main."
3. A small quantity of wine and water, which is used to wash the priest's thumb and index finger after the communion, and which then, as perhaps containing portions of the consecrated elements, is drunk by the priest.

Work
The Minder is on lates this week & yesterday evening one of the maths teachers was asking him if he could unlock my room. The Minder asked him what he wanted, the teacher explained that he wanted some paper & that he didn't want to use the copiers.
Maths Teacher 'I'm to scared to use the copiers, espaeially the mood she's been in for the last week'
The Minder 'Yes she took it badly, me not getting the job here'
Maths Teacher 'I hope she realises it wasn't your fault you didn't get the job'
The Minder 'Oh yes, she knows I tried hard'
Maths Teacher 'Good, otherwise, if I was you I'd be scared to go home after work, God she's really scary when she's in this mood'
Moi? Scary?
This teacher is nearly 6ft tall & male & not at all wimpy.
It made my day, I love it when people are scared of me, all 4ft 11 of me, lol.
